It is an exciting time of the year for us.  We are checking in on the nubile 2005 wines in barrel and tank, planning their futures and saving for their release into the big wide wine world.  What we see is true to recent form – lovely fleshy whites and plump, juicy reds that will fuel our growing reputation for high quality wines from our Margaret River vineyards.

An exciting time also as we have released a whole bunch of new wines:

* 2005 Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon - SB dominant this year – fresh and vibrant as ever.

*2004 Semillon - as waxy, citrussy and rich as ever - great with roast chicken.

* 2002 Reserve Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc “Sussex Loc 3991” – a very limited oaked and bottled matured style that topped its class at last year’s Margaret River Wine Show, and has picked up 5 stars ***** in Winestate Magazine.  “Bright green lights glimmer through the pale straw colour. Delightful complexity of cashew nuts and varietal fruit aromas. Rich, lip-smacking palate with delicious nectarine flavours. Excellent acid backbone balances out the long, well-structured palate.”  This wine is almost SOLD OUT - act quickly!

* 2003 Chardonnay – the continuing development of our Chardonnay is something we are very proud of; the best Chardonnay release to date.  This wine will really start to stamp the mark of the Arlewood Chardonnay amongst Margaret River’s finest.

* 2003 Shiraz – delicious Rhone inspired wine of lovely silkiness.

* Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 - a worthy follow on from the hallmark 2001.  The same style of savoury, earthy yet bright Cabernet from the A Block.

Finally, if you’re calling through the village of Cowaramup en route to Margaret River, pop into the comprehensively stocked Regional Wine Centre.  There you will find the effusive and eloquent Ron and Peter Macfarlane, who if gently prodded will show you the range of Arlewood wines.  Our very own Semi–Attached Cellar Door in downtown Cowaramup!

Don’t forget, all our wines and limited releases are available on the website, and at our very own Fully-Attached Tasting Lounge on Harman’s South Road, just around the corner from the Chocolate Factory.  Tastings are welcome and by appointment until we open again in early October.  Delivery is FREE within Australia on all straight and mixed cases!
